Each pattern in the series teaches an important quilting skill, allowing you to learn, practice and master it through the creation of a beautiful handmade quilt.The idea of improvistional quilting can be a little daunting, especially for those of us who like to follow a plan. The freedom can make it hard to know where to start or what to do. This pattern is set up as a controlled improv situation. Improv with boundaries if you will. To give practice with freedom but still provide some guidance. The hope is that you will practice improv through this small taste and then be able to apply what you've learned and felt here to your own improv projects. The pattern includes full color instructions and diagrams, along with helpful tips, to give practice with improv quilting and the creation of a beautiful one of a kind quilt. The finished size is 58'' x 68'' as shown, however, your finished quilt may be larger or smaller depending on the decisions you make.
